Friends of Hugh Myddelton PTA

Friends of Hugh Myddelton is a registered charity and is the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at Hugh Myddelton Primary School. The mission of the PTA is to make the school a better place for children to learn. Members bring the school community together for social and cultural exchanges as well as to raise funds to support improvements at school. The role of the PTA is to work with and for the benefit of everyone in our school community and must be available to all children without discrimination.

We're Friends of Hugh Myddelton, a lively registered charity fuelled by passionate volunteers. Our PTA's main purpose is supporting the school, enhancing learning experiences, and adding those 'little extras' that make school unforgettable. From school wide events like the Winter Fair, International Day, and Summer Fair, we're here to make a difference and have some fun along the way. 

We're not just a committee; we're parents, carers, friends, and allies – just like you and we are looking for more people from our school community to get involved. PTA events planned for 2024-25
This year we are planning:

●       PTA Open House, learn more about how to get involved with the PTA or lead on activity of your interest, stop by anytime between 3:45pm-5:55pm (Thursday, October 17th in the school Library).

●       Winter Fair, Thursday, 5 December 2024, starting at 3:45pm (looking for parents to lead on different activities)

●       Hugh Myddelton Cookbook, recipe collection, January 2025 (we are looking for a parent or group of parents to lead on this activity)

●       Parent’s Quiz Night, early February

●       Spring Disco, end of March on a Saturday TBC

●       Teacher Appreciation Day, May 6, 2025

●       International Day, Thursday May 15, 2025, starting at 3:45pm

●       Run Kids Run, Highbury Fields, July 2025, TBC

●       Summer Fair, Saturday 5 July 2025, time TBC

●       Monthly Year Group Treat Sales on the last Thursday and Friday of each month, see dates below:

The PTA is looking to grow parent involvement. There are multiple ways of participating, whether it be serving on the PTA committee or as a class representative, volunteering at an event, donating something, or showing up and enjoying one of the events, we hope to accommodate many different levels of involvement.
